TICKET PRICES

Membership of the Witham Cinema has now been suspended during the refurbishment of the Witham Hall. Unfortunately we have had to slightly raise ticket prices to cover the additional costs of room hire at alternative venues. Ticket prices are now the same for both members and non-members.

WELCOME TO THE WITHAM CINEMA

Welcome to the Cinema at The Witham; this project is the result of many months of planning and fundraising. We are very grateful for funding and other support from Barnard Castle Vision, Teesdale Village Halls Consortium, Northern Film and Media, David Harper, Elizabeth Conran, Sarah Patrick, Radio Teesdale and a team of willing volunteers.

The cinema has purchased the best possible equipment we can afford and will operate in the Main Hall and hopefully in the future in the upstairs Witham Room. We will provide a wide range of refreshments for purchase prior to the film and on occasions may break the film half way for an interval. We plan to expand our activities and do workshops, festivals, special events such as a Bollywood night and other film-based activities as we grow and develop.

We aim to provide you with the opportunity to see film more frequently and reduce the cost by bring cinema to your doorstep. We hope, with our programming, to be able to bring a wider variety of films than those in the large cinema complexes. We are still a “village hall” and don’t have all the plush facilities of other cinemas but we offer a warmer welcome and the opportunity to meet up with people you know and enjoy a social experience.
